Peep peep

We can taken em’ or leave em’.  The classic Easter candy Peeps seem to always get mixed reviews. Some love them, some hate them, some wait a year until they are nice and stale to eat them.  Lol!  But, these seem like a fun, and easy, way to eat them.  Peeps S’mores! Pretty self-explanatory, just use the microwave.

promote, promote, promote!

How fun is this?!

To promote his upcoming release of his LP Blunderbuss, Jack White (now a solo artists) launched 1000 flexi-discs, of his song  “Freedom at 21″ attached to large balloons into the air.  It is estimated that only about 100 of the disc balloons will be retrieved but it sure would be fun to find one floating through the sky (and landing conveniently on your front lawn)! We love all of these new, fun, and creative promotional ideas.  Check out the video below and Jack Whites  new album when it drops on April 24th!

…About the Hunger Games! Awhile back we posted the trailer for the newly premiered preview for the Hunger Games movie, based off of Suzanne Collins novel, and now the anticipated movie is almost ready to hit theaters on the 23rd.  Today the film is having it’s Hollywood Red carpet premiere. We can’t wait to see what reviewers and lucky fans have to say.

Now, for those of you looking for a laugh, take a few minutes to watch this really funny Hunger Games spoof called non other than The Hungry Games!

Is it Spring yet?

After listening to Rachel Goodrich’s song “Light Bulbs” all we can think about is spring, bike rides, picnics, swing sets, and lemonade.  We LOVE this song and adorable music video. ENJOY!

Who knew?

Who knew it was so easy?  From friend’s home decor, fashion photoshoots, and DIY parties, the use of chalkboard paint always looks so fun and cute.  And who knew that instead of buying the typical black paint from a craft or hardware store, you can make you own in just a few easy steps.  Plus, you can customize the color to any one, two, or three your heart desires.

What you need:

- 1/2 cup acrylic paint (ANY COLOR)

- 1 tablespoon unsanded grout (Check out your local hardware store)

- Mixing bowl

- Spoon

- Paint brush

- Whatever you want to paint

Directions: (Be sure to work in a well ventilated area and please note that the paint drys kind of fast so only mix what you need)

1. Mix together the paint and grout until their are no lumps.  (Yup, that’s it! You have your paint!)

2.  Paint the surface of your object/board/wall.

3. Let fully dry then “slate ” the surface by rubbing chalk on it and then lightly rubbing it off.

Thanks to A Beautiful Mess Blog for this awesome DIY!

Um, Yum

Hold your horses, don’t get too excited.  This little beauty has taken the internet by storm with Girl Scout Cookie lovers singing the praises of…Girl Scout Cookie Candy Bars!  Yes that’s right, the Girl Scouts are planning on taking their beloved cookies to the next level and offering up a batch of limited edition candy bars.  But, sadly we can’t get our hands on them quite yet.  It appears we will have to wait with bated breath until June to indulge on this yummy treat.  We only wonder what cookies they are going to turn into the candy bars. Crossing our fingers for Caramel deLites aka Samoas!!!
